It was January 2010 when I bought my first DSLR: a Canon 500D, having previously only owned a cheap point-and-shoot camera which would only get taken out of the cupboard for the obligatory wedding and holiday snaps. I always wanted to learn photography and produce better images than simple snaps with everything in focus. My dad was a keen photographer and taught me the basics about composition, F-numbers, exposure, etc. when I was maybe 11 years old. I always said that I would give it a go one day. In 2009 I got married and it was when sourcing a wedding photographer and looking at his work that my interest piqued and decided to give it a go.

14 years later and I now completely love photography.

I mainly like to shoot landscape / travel photography, wildlife, macro and sports photography. I especially love black and white photography. Looking at the world in monochrome makes you see things very differently.

I use an Olympus/OM Systems OM-1 micro four thirds camera and love the fact that I can carry a wider range of lenses because of the smaller size.
