Welcome to the first update for members of Cliq Photiq!
Firstly, let us extend our sincere gratitude for your membership. Your support means everything to us and, in return, our highest aim is to give you exceptional support for your photography. Ultimately, the mission that guides Cliq Photiq is to help you, as a member, develop and enjoy your photography in new ways—and, we expect, in unique ways not available through any other means.
We see our relationship with you as a beneficial partnership and collaboration. As such, we strongly encourage you to keep in touch with us about anything that is on your mind when it comes to your photography, the services we offer and your membership in general. Whether it’s a question or concern, a suggestion or just to say hi, we are always available for a chat.
As for our methods of communication, we have a few things in the works. One is a monthly Zoom meeting; another is in-person meetups. We are also considering group platforms such as a Facebook Group, a WhatsApp group, etc. These are works in progress and we welcome your input. We’ll update you as those ideas develop. In the meantime, the main way to keep in touch is by email.
Again, a very hearty and warm welcome to the Cliq. We’re really looking forward to working with you!

Member Article – Writing 101
In our first members-only article, we take a look at why it’s so important to incorporate the practice of writing within your photography work. This is an area where I encounter a bit of resistance from students, so have a read with an open mind and a can-do spirit!

Coventry-based photographer Odie Evans has shared with us a beautiful set of images, along with some great explanatory text. (A good example of writing about the work!)
Call for Entries: World of Colour
Photiq is now taking submissions for our first major group exhibition of 2024. All photographers are invited to enter images for a chance to be included in the exhibition this April.
Cliq members get 15% off entry fees. When you go to the website, be sure to Log In (using the icon at the upper right of the screen) and your discount will be automatically applied.
Cliq Members Exhibition
Speaking of exhibitions, it's never too early to start thinking about our exhibition exclusively featuring the work of our members. We'll be hosting this exhibition at the gallery in November 2024.
For the Members Exhibition, there is no theme or specific requirements for the subject or format of your photos. As a member, you are invited to enter up to five images for consideration; the number of your images that will ultimately be selected for the exhibition will be determined based on the total number of entries.
Entry to the Members' Exhibition is free, and Nat will also personally print, mount and frame selected images at no cost to you!
We will start taking submissions for the 2024 Members Exhibition during the summer, so stay tuned for details. In the meantime, start thinking about what you would like to show—maybe you can develop a new concept or series to exhibit for the first time!

As mentioned in this email's introduction, we are very keen to have ongoing communication and involvement with and between our members. Currently, there are a few topics which would be of great help to us to hear your thoughts, ideas and suggestions:
Meetings in person—would you like to join us for a coffee meetup in or around Leamington Spa? We understand many of our members do not live local to the gallery, so our member meetings will mostly be online. Even so, meeting in person would be great, so let us know what you think.
Scheduling for Zoom meetings—we'd like to vary the times for these, so that everyone has a chance to join. What are the best days of the week and times for you?
Featured Member—Please get in touch if you would like to have your work highlighted on our website and social media programmes. We want to share great photography with the world!
